bonnieharkey My connection to the Mormon colonies 13 Nov 10 2008, 6:44 AM EST by jerrybluth@cox.net

I am the daughter of Rolla Bon Bluth and Dorothy Redd and grew up in Colonia Dublan. I was born in 1952 in Safford, Arizona but my parents lived in Colonia Dublan at the time. My mother stayed with her parents George and Ercelle Gilbert Redd before giving birth to me because she wanted to have me in a "real" hospital. I attended elementary school in Colonia Dublan, then on to the Academia Juarez until I was a Junior in high school. My family then moved to Safford, Arizona in 1968. I count the colonies as my home, as I spent the first 16 years of my life there. It was a GREAT place to grow up and I love my Mexico heritage. I now live in Phoenix (Ahwatukee) Arizona and have 6 children and 3 grand-children. I married Don Harkey in 2001. Yes, some of my children are step-children, but I consider them mine, nonetheless.
